What Happens Between the Temporary Order and the Final Hearing

After a judge grants a temporary injunction, the respondent is served and a full hearing is scheduled, typically within fifteen days. During that window the temporary order is in effect, which may mean no contact with the petitioner, exclusion from a shared home, and temporary changes to time-sharing.

The respondent has the right to present evidence and testimony at the full hearing, and preparing for it in the compressed timeline is critical. Brodzki Jacobs uses that window to gather evidence and organize the case for either side.
