The Application Process in Same-Sex Divorce

While there are precautions, steps and compliance that must be observed in getting married, this is true for LGBTQ divorce. The following are the usual process of applying for a divorce:

• Application either of the parties;
• Affixing of their signatures;
• A joint application is considered submitted and filed the moment both parties agree on the filing of divorce;
• A copy of the application must be furnished to the other party to serve as notice;
• An order of separation may be granted if the circumstances lead to such;
